Colette Aliman is a design researcher who began her practice with video

performance and sculpture, participating in residencies and showing work in

Assisi Italy, Boston, New York, and Den Hague, The Netherlands. She cultivated

a freelance practice specializing in weaving and designing custom soft construction

in New York City for three years before attending the masters program in

Contextual Design at Design Academy Eindhoven, The Netherlands. She is currently

focusing on a graduation project that explores design strategies consisting of

making tangible the intangible through body knowledge performance. She is also

working with making visible the invisible through pneumatic structures, and making

audible the inaudible by exposing a materials sonic qualities.
